The F/V Angelette unties from the dock in the Ventura Harbor to head out and look for squid along the California coast.  The California Market Squid Fishery has suffered from a serious lack of abundance due to the powerful El Nino weather pattern of 2015.  As the new year starts, only a third of the quota is even harvested.  So far, we have 40, 795 of the 118,000 ton quota. Perhaps the squid will return in 2016, but 2015 was a pretty bad year for squid.  I wanna give a big shout out to all Captains and Crew who have weathered the storm this year.
